Hadimba Temple

1.5 km from Manali, Hadimba temple was built in 1553 A.D. by Raja Bahadur Singh. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Hadimba, wife of Bhima. It is a beautiful temple having Pagoda shaped roof with a doorway carved with mythical symbols and figures. The carving is unparalleled in art.

Manu Rishi Temple

2 km from Manali, the temple is dedicated to Manu Rishi, the great Hindu Law Giver. The newly renovated temple is famous for wooden carvings.

Club House

1.5 km from Manali, Club House is a beautiful building erected for the enjoyment and sports activities, being run by Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC). It offers facilities for indoor games and conferencing. Wide lawns and sparkling Manalsu Stream soothe the fatigue of the tourists.

Vashisht

This typical village is associated with sage Vashisht. A temple dedicated to the sage has been built in the village. The temple has beautiful wooden carvings and a large idol of the sage. By the side of the temple there are hot water springs naturally oozing out from the ground. Nearby is an ancient temple of Lord Rama that still displays its ancientness.

Tibetan Monastery

This newly built monastery in Manali has a mighty image of Gautam Buddha and exquisite Thangka paintings. The paintings in the monastery depict events from Lord Buddha's life.

The place is known for carpet weaving and Tibetan handicrafts. Handicrafts are put on sale to the outsiders.

Solang Valley

13 km from Manali this beautiful valley is a place of green meadows and ski slopes. The valley is venue for national level winter sports. The place is ideal for paragliding, trekking, skiing, picnics and horse riding. In winters, a 'himling' is formed here.

Kothi

Kothi is rich in scenic beauty. It is the first village besides River Beas. The area is becoming famous as a picnic spot and is accessible by a vehicle. There is a PWD Rest House in Kothi.

Rohtang Pass

51 km from Manali, Rohtang Pass is the highest point on National Highway 21. The pass bids a magnificent view of the valley. It offers trekking opportunities too. Rohtang Pass is remains open from June to September and is closed for traffic during winters owing to heavy snowfall.

Naggar

Naggar is the old capital of Kullu. Raja Bhosal built a castle here, which is under HPTDC now. The Roerich Art Gallery at Naggar houses a collection of the paintings of the Russian artist N.K. Roerich. The village also has ancient temples dedicated to goddess Tripura Sundri, Gauri-Shankar and Lord Krishna.

Manikaran

Manikaran is famous for it Sikh gurudwara and hot water springs. Water of the springs is so hot that rice can be easily cooked in it. Manikaran also leads to several treks in Parvati valley and over to Pin valley.
